Milton is a one-year old, 11-pound Shih Tzu mix pup.  He was found in a park in Waxahachie and picked up by a Good Samaritan.  She searched for his owners with no results.  They could not keep him so they contacted DFW Pup Patrol for help.

Milton is very good natured, he gets along with all his fellow fur foster brothers and sisters and his foster's cats.  At first he seemed afraid of the cats, but now he is familiar with them and gets along just fine.  He rides well in the car; he doesn't want his family to leave him, he wants to go.  Leaving him alone in the house is not a problem;  he is  housetrained and not destructive.  He can be put in a crate, however if he knows his family is home, he will cry to be out with them.  He likes to sleep with a human at night.  He is a somewhat picky eater; he needs some canned food mixed with dry. 

Milton is such a joy, he is calm and watchful as to what his family is doing.. He does like to play ball, but hasn't learned to bring it back.  He is not a playful 'wrestler' with the other dogs, he is happy to coexist with them in peace, thus he can be the only dog in the family.  Milton is content to be at his family's feet or in their lap, a great companion dog for any age.
