"Beau Beau" or "Beau" for short we believe is a male black and tan Long Haired Dachshund/Mix, possibly with Pomeranian and/or Poodle found roaming in Quinlan and taken in by a woman who called our rescue organization to see if we could take him in. DFW Pup Patrol to the rescue! Beau is approximately 1 year old and about 15 lbs.  He is a very sweet dog who attaches himself easily to his "person". Because we don't know how long he was on his own, he's getting back on track with regular meals and growing back a full coat of shiny black hair. He is crate trained and doing well on the house training with a lot of praise when using the outdoors! Beau gets along well with other dogs and cats ( I have 3 other dogs and 2 cats in the house). He's very curious about new noises and plays the role of a very good watchdog! :) Beau loves to play with soft squeaky dog toys and can play a good game of tug of war. He will fetch and bring it back to you for some more playtime. He prefers to stay close to you and even likes to be a lapdog if you let him. He loves attention and just looking into his little brown eyes lets you know he's waiting for a pat or scratch under his chin. :) At times he will go into his crate on his own for some quiet time. Beau will make a good companion for anyone and really is low maintenance as he is so easygoing!

All of our adoptable pups have an adoption fee of $200, regardless of our expenses, and it includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm test for pups 6 months and older, heartworm treatment if tested positive, deworming and/or fecal test, parasite treatment if tested positive, microchipping, any immediate known health issues, and pups 4 months and older are kept current on monthly heartworm prevention.
